Mako notifications stop showing up

• not entirely sure what causes them to stop showing up
• might be display changes, there are open issues about that:
  • https://github.com/emersion/mako/issues/548
  • https://github.com/emersion/mako/issues/512
• a quick test with swaymsg didn't cause the issue though
