Civilizing Force of Societal Rules

there are attempts to tear down old or traditional rules and norms of society.

generally a good path, but should not go to far: societal rules and norms are also important to human civilization, see table manners / knives: seems arbitrary but is important / steven pinker

on the other hand political correctness

And: What are the actual norms? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SG9-fo8jRw
